Dalmar was established by A.O. Swart Snr in 1973 and has since grown to include a number of companies – operating in both construction, property development & beyond – and all backed by good business ethics and high moral values.
Over the years, Dalmar offices were established in the Western Cape and the Garden Route. Companies were also incorporated in Botswana, Mauritius and Zambia, which entities fall under the direct control of Dalmar’s directors.

DALMAR CONSTRUCTION
Directors: Andries Swart, Conrad Swart
Established in 1973 and run by a dedicated team of professionals, Dalmar Johannesburg has built a reputation of service reliability, build quality and financial stability.
This enabled the company to build long lasting work relationships with suppliers, clients and subcontractors. This strong relationship gives Dalmar an edge when it comes to quality, pricing and performance compared to competitors.
In the last decade, the company has experienced phenomenal organic growth to meet the demands of both established and new clients. A conservative approach towards financial management has enabled Dalmar to meet performance deadlines and has put it in a capital position ready for further expansion.
The company is optimistic about future projects in South Africa as well as Southern Africa and are gearing itself towards expansion by forming strategic partnerships with other major players in the industry.
In 2013 Dalmar was awarded a contract in Zambia. The contract entails the construction of the top structure and site works of the emigration facilities between Angola (Rivungo) and Zambia (Shangombo). This contract enabled the company to create a footprint in Zambia and led to the establishment of Dalmar Construction Zambia Ltd. Dalmar views Zambia as a high potential growth market where it can make a long-term positive contribution towards infrastructure development and skills transfer.
Dalmar is a member of the National Home Builders’ Council of South Africa (NHBRC). Dalmar also has high ratings of 9 GB (General Building) and 8 CE (Civil Engineering), with the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB).
Dalmar is registered at the Zambian National Construction Council, with a Grade 1 rating in both General Building and Housing (category B) and General Roads and Earthworks (category R).
Dalmar Construction is B-BBEE Level 4 certified.
DALMAR CULMINATION
Dalmar Culmination is a special purpose entity established to facilitate and execute strategic property development and construction projects.
The company is led by the Dalmar Team and Manda Nkuhlu of Culmination, who collectively bring extensive experience in development and project management.
The shareholding structure of Dalmar Culmination comprises 51% Dalmar Culmination Investment Holdings and 49% Dalmar Construction, creating a balanced partnership between investment and operational execution.
The primary objective of Dalmar Culmination is to provide a focused platform for development, while simultaneously enhancing the group’s B-BBEE rating. This structure enables the company to actively participate in government tenders, procurement processes, and to access relevant development funding opportunities.
Dalmar Culmination is committed to delivering sustainable, high-quality projects while aligning with regulatory requirements and transformation objectives within the South African market.
DALMAR PLANT HIRE

Established in 2004, Dalmar Plant Hire (Pty) Ltd was created to support the operational needs of Dalmar Construction by supplying reliable plant and equipment for its projects.
Under the leadership of directors Andries Swart and Conrad Swart, the company functions as an integral part of the Dalmar Group, ensuring seamless coordination and efficiency on site.
Focused exclusively on internal support, Dalmar Plant Hire plays a critical role in maintaining project timelines, controlling costs, and upholding the high standards of quality associated with the Dalmar name. By providing well-maintained equipment and dependable service, the division contributes directly to the successful delivery of construction and civil projects.

ALTO KITCHENS

Alto Kitchens is a service-orientated South African company specialising in the design, manufacturing and installation of kitchens, built-in cupboards, vanities and shopfitting.
Established in 2008 within the Dalmar Group of companies (est. 1973), the Management Team together with highly qualified machine operators, have many years of experience in the kitchen & shopfitting industry. Alto Kitchens’ unique approach to kitchen design and manufacturing allows it to provide fast-paced service and high-volume products in a cost-effective way.
The company’s strength lies in its sophisticated infrastructure, with a fully automated 3500m² factory and the world’s best machinery ensuring precision at all times – with a capacity to produce up to 6000 houses fully fitted per annum.
LOOP ISP
Loop ISP (Pty) Ltd, was established in January 2026 with the objective of delivering reliable, high-quality internet and network infrastructure solutions. The company is owned by shareholders Andries Izak Ludick and Dalmar Investments, who bring strategic direction and industry insight to the business.
Loop ISP operates as a full-service internet solutions provider, specialising in the installation of network infrastructure, including fibre backbone development, as well as the provision of fast and dependable internet services to both residential and commercial clients.
The company is committed to supporting digital connectivity and infrastructure growth by delivering efficient, scalable, and future-ready network solutions. Through its technical expertise and customer-focused approach, Loop ISP aims to play a key role in expanding access to reliable internet services and enhancing connectivity within its target markets.
